Jan waiting for breakfast

Jan, on Wednesday morning with her two nurses... Jackie and Potatoh.
Jan actually went to her studio today. "You gonna try to stop her?"
She did a few things and I finally got her back up to the house for lunch and a short rest on the couch. She's still there and will remain until bedtime.

Once again, thank you for all of the cards, calls, emails flowers... she really is touched by it all.

  1. Jan...so glad to hear you're back home! What a scary thing.....I guess I was imagining you were on a 30' extension ladder...wind blowing and then it came crashing down, but the stairs?? I'll bet you were practicing "Dancing with the Stars" and you slid too far....yikes!

Please....take it easy now.....recover and get back to normal. Maybe it's a good time to read a book or something :)

Keep your spirits up...you've got a lot of friends and people keeping you in their prayers. Talk to you again soon.

  2. hey there Jan:

Encouraging to see you ensconced on sofa, surrounded by the Healing Power of Dogs. Encouraging, too, to hear you're up and about, which spotlights the challenges of sitting still (and its attendant healing powers). Hang in there.

  4. Dear Jan and George,
It's comforting to see how well and happy you look in spite of all.
Although we are out of the country, our thoughts are thisclose to you.
We send you our very best wishes, and we are grateful for this blog. It allows us to "visit" without pestering you, and it lets you update people without having to repeat yourselves all day every day.
    Warmly,
    Bill and Ruth Ann Harnisch

  5. Dear Jan,
It's a joy to see you back home, bookended (thanks, George) by your loyal doggies. As soon as you are ready for 2 rowdy Rhinebeckians, Maggie and I will trek up to your digs and give you a BIG (but very gentle) hug.
    Love, E

  6. Hey Jan,

Glad you're out of the hospital. Sounds like a nasty brush with gravity. Pleases heal quickly; I'm sending healing beams...

  7. So glad you're back home with family snuggled up on all sides. Hospitals are no places to hang around.

Aren't the nurses supposed to sleep in shifts??

    Sending speedy healing thoughts....
